Nesting + Such

Friday night at C&O

Nesting is no joke! Every corner of our house has been gone through and wiped down. Bags of clothes are sitting by the door to be consigned and dropped off at Goodwill. I've created Google docs, unsubscribed from e-newsletters, unfollowed people and businesses on social media, and deleted gobs of emails.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't love this process. I truly am a minimalist at heart.

I'm 33 weeks today with (hopefully!) another month to go. September is off to a fabulously slow start. With even more work flexibility, I plan to keep it that way.

I've been given this incredible gift of time as we count down to October. I must use it wisely! While that definitely involves cleaning and organizing, I also want to spend these days enjoying my husband's company, as well as practicing self care in the simplest of ways. Walks and dinner downtown, impromptu coffee dates, reading for pleasure, live music, pre-natal yoga, writing, and cooking are some of those things.

Lately, I've had enormous waves of gratitude come over me. Motherhood is surely going to be the most incredible life experience ever - one I wasn't sure I would get to have. Now, here we are!
