Tiny Desk w/ Olafur Arnalds

Olafur Arnalds is a staple in nearly every one of my yoga playlists. I promise his music will help bring those cortisol levels down.

Thanks to movie and show soundtracks, I've become a huge Max Richter fan. This Tiny Desk performance really hit the spot.

3 Good Things: April 17, 2020

This week felt low and long. I don't know if it's the novelty wearing off or the weather being blah or that this is all just very very very hard.

I'm glad it's Friday because it feels like somewhat of an accomplishment. Relentless forward motion.

Some good things:

1. Fiona Apple gets a perfect 10.

2. Just finished Alexandra Fuller's two most recent memoirs. (Thanks to the free audiobook app, RBDigital.)

3. Courtney Martin strikes again.

3 Good Things: April 13, 2020

1. Beware. Think about your inputs and outputs – what you want to keep from this experience.

2. Laura Marling's new album release date got bumped up. Thank the lord!

3. Still thinking about this podcast episode.

3 Good Things: March 26, 2020

We let the girls run around a local peach orchard the other day. It was a much needed, colorful distraction for us all. Hoping we can actually pick peaches this summer...

A few other good things:

1. Yes, we're watching. No, we can't look away.

2. This helped me identify how/what I'm currently feeling.

3. Enjoying Ben Gibbard's virtual concerts. Don't wake me, I plan on sleeping in.

1. Don't waste today.

2. Can't Do Much!

Handpicked 01

Hopefully this new format will hold me accountable to continue posting. I really do enjoy documenting and curating my favorite finds. I think sometimes I'll have round ups (like below) and other times I may just post a one off quote or recommendation. Happy reading/listening/eating/watching!

+ One of my favorite author's, Dani Shapiro, has a new podcast!

+ Check out my latest Spotify playlist, Bright Light.

+ I just finished Season 2 of Victoria. I've never met a BBC show I didn't like.

+ This chicken lives up to its name. Especially delicious during these winter months.

+ In defense of boredom.

A Cranberries Kind of Day

Like most children of the 90s, I had a love affair with The Cranberries. The latest news of their lead singer's passing is heartbreaking. The nostalgia cuts me deep!

Today's soundtrack has been exclusively from the No Need to Argue album.
