Merry Christmas!
(c) Phoebe Wahl
I've been meaning to hop on here to wish y'all a Merry Christmas! It's been a gorgeous and unseasonably warm day in Virginia. How nice to finally feel the sun on this special holiday after a week of rain and gray skies.
We're headed up to New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts for a few days to visit family, friends, and squeeze in a little skiing on the Green Mountains.
Enjoy this beautiful time of the year! I'm soaking in these last few days but also getting very excited for 2015 and the endless possibilities that await.

Happy Solstice!
It's a short day today. The shortest of them all actually. The solstice symbolizes the re-birth of the sun for the New Year. Change is in the air!
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

Friday Film
Rachel couldn't just be a kick ass graphic designer, she had to go and master film making, too! So proud and impressed with all that you do. I've also now added bike tour in Montana to my 2015 bucket list. Great work, girlfraaaand!

Vinyl

Currently, our 3 favorite records are Dylan's Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, LCD Soundsystem's This Is Happening, and Gregg Allman's Laid Back. Any must have recommendations? Excited to start our collection.
Oh Christmas Tree!
We're keeping things light and festive in our bungalow this holiday season. After years of making excuses to not get a Christmas tree, we finally splurged on a tiny one for our living room. And I'm so glad we did!
Here's a little treat for your listening enjoyment.

Bookmarked
Now, more than ever, there are A LOT of distractions on the internet. Good and bad. Loud and soft. Colorful and really freaking dreary.
Here are a few things I've stumbled across that will hopefully bring you a little cheer this holiday season. Lord knows we certainly need it!
+ Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee - the Portland edition
+ NPR's 2014 mix tape
+ A good read for the upcoming new year
+ Would you say yes and see for yourself?
+ After devouring the book, I can't wait to watch the movie!
New Music Tuesdays
Richmond's own, D'Angelo, just released his first album in 15 years. Loving the horns on this rainy Tuesday morning.

New Music Tuesdays
I clearly can't make up my mind when it comes to picking a song or site, so here are a few new tunes to enjoy. And yes, I'm back to my old blog again. I was momentarily distracted by a shiny new template that wasn't really a good fit. Lesson learned!
