We saw Sylvan Esso a few months ago. As you can probably guess, we had a blast!

Bookmarked

+ Balance is about change. Preach!

+ This was encouraging. I'm always scheming for the next big (or small) idea.

+ Watched it, loved it.

+ Great cover.

+ More on entrepreneurship and creativity.

+ A yummy recipe for Spring.

ColoRADo

We're back from a very Spring-like trip to Colorado. After three solid days of skiing, I'm sore, sun-kissed, and tired. All signs of a good time! I enjoyed the change of scenery and being reminded of those good ole days of out west living.

Tips For Success

These illustrated tips are popping up all over blog land. And I'm happily jumping on the band wagon. Here are just a few. You can find the rest over at Design*Sponge.

Tuesday Tunes

Here's another one from Death Cab For Cutie's upcoming album Kintsugi. It'll be released on Tuesday (of course), March 31st.

Saturday Morning

Oregon, 2011

Using this quiet Saturday morning to start the new NPR podcast, Invisibilia. The series tells personal stories about human behaviors (think This American Life) based on science and ideas (think Radio Lab.) They just finished their pilot season, so I have some catching up to do!

Friday Film

Discovering Anne Lamott was one giant ah-ha moment for me. It all started during my junior (or was it senior?) year of college when I got my hands on Traveling Mercies. Since then, I've followed her work and admired her honesty, humor, and authenticity.

This video is special for another reason, too. The host, Kelly Corrigan, is coming to Richmond on March 21st to speak as part of a fundraising event put on by Jill's Blankets. My mom is heavily involved in this amazing organization that makes and distributes fleece blankets for cancer patients undergoing chemo.

Corrigan will be reading from and discussing her most recent book, Glitter & Glue. And if you can't already tell, I'm going! If you're in or near the Richmond area and interested in attending, please do join us. You can email me at ashelymschneider(at)gmail(dot)com and buy your tickets here.

ps: You can check out more videos from her Medium channel here. She's had an amazing lineup of guests in only two short months. I can't wait to see who else makes an appearance!

March

Hello, March! We're experiencing another round of wintry weather, so I won't pretend that Spring is around the corner just yet. Patience, grasshoppers.

We were able to book a trip out west, albeit short, for a few days next week. I will take what I can get! Look forward to visiting my brother over fresh snow, cold beers, and heated chair lifts.

With a trip to ColoRADo and a few happenings back home, this month is shaping up to be a full one. That good kind of full, and one that makes me so happy to live close to family and old friends.

To everything turn, turn, turn.
