Summer's End

Keeping things quiet over here as summer comes to a close and the days start filling up with work, commutes, walks, weddings, and an impending move. The changing of the seasons is an opportunity to begin again, and for that I'm grateful.

As an ex-pool rat, beach bum, and redhead, this video was extremely difficult for me to watch. I've had countless sunburns in my life and have freckles in the most obscure places from my toes and elbows to my eyelids and ears. In the past few years, I've taken great measures to protect my skin. This video reaffirms, in a scary kind of way, the importance of sunscreen.

I've mentioned my friend/co-worker/soul sister, Jess, on here before. This is her latest video which documents her year long project of living on the road. (And I mean that quite literally.) I continue to be inspired by her bravery and independence. There's nothing this girl can't do!

Portland Home

Schoolhouse Electric was one of my favorite spots in Portland. Who knew lightbulbs and desk chairs could be so rad? And expensive. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the owner's house is just as fabulous. If I lived here, I would most definitely never leave.
