Shopping Spree

I got lost in the bookstore yesterday for a solid hour. It was fabulous. For my birthday, my parents got me a gift card to Barnes and Noble. I quickly put it to use and added these books to my shelves:

1. Joan Didion's The Year of Magical Thinking
2. Geneen Roth's Women Food and God
3. Pema Chodron's When Things Fall Apart
4. the latest edition of The Paris Review

I threw in some of my favorite Moleskine notebooks too, because I can't seem to resist those blank pages.

  1. Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago . . . but I think I'm going to have to weave in some fiction with that. Maybe Alice Munro's short stories Dear Life.

  4. To be honest, I'm readingThe Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks, his books are a guilty pleasure of which I'm slightly ashamed, ha! I'm also reading a book called Drive, it is about motivation and incredibly interesting.
