Today was just like any other day, except that it was my 28th birthday. I had lots of time to think about personal goals, wishes, and plans for the future. I suppose you could say I was trying to figure it all out. In this next year, I'd like to be settled in a career, preferably doing something I love. I've been craving a greater purpose for months and I'm more than ready for a change. I'm also eager to find and feel a greater sense of community in Portland. Less anonymity would be nice as we enter into our second year here. With that, I thank everyone for the calls, emails, and texts received throughout the day. They meant more than you could imagine, helping to make the miles not feel so distant.
