The Swifts

Last week, we packed a picnic with Lauren and Drew and joined the rest of Portland on a grassy hill to watch the Vaux Swifts. Thousands of these birds swarm around Chapman Elementary School about an hour before sunset. They then dive into the chimney you see above. It's nature at its finest and it only happens in September.
